    Question.

Simple question to some of you, mainly the conservatives here on the board.

Since the polls show a large majority of conservatives support deporting all of the kids during this current border crisis, would you guys be ok with the USA giving political asylum to all of these Christians under attack in Iraq whom are under attack by ISIS since the region is unstable and unpredictable?

If you support bombing and military strikes on ISIS there, which will not stop them, it will only help them grow, then would you also support said strikes on the corrupt gangs and cartels throughout South America that are also responsible for kids fleeing, or use the same amount of money from these strikes to give aid and food to these 3rd world countries?

History has shown us time and time again, the more we try to purge and eliminate muslim extremists, we help them spawn new organizations even more extreme, and it's a never ending cycle. We've gone through trillions of dollars the last 14 years fighting this War on Terror, which seems to be never ending. Bombing ISIS in Iraq is only going to be like a band aid/stop gap, unless Iraqi government grows a pair and defends those people itself... which we know probably won't happen which is why we have to send airstrikes in the first place.

Answer this, how do you stop ISIS from beheading women and children and shooting men in the back of their heads when lying down?

Druglords and cartels do this regularly and have done so for years.

Do we care more about this in Iraq because they're Christians? Druglords and gangs and the cartel do it for money and intimidation. ISIS does it for religion.

And the only to stop it would be to send troops to stop them. Are you advocating sending troops on the ground? Only a matter of time until Isis uses human shields to prevent us from bombing innocents. Will we do the same thing Israel is doing? Knowingly bomb innocents to wipe out ISIS targets?

Aren't like 99% of Mexicans some form of Christian denomination? I think like 80% or so are catholic, which is probably the problem, cause everyone knows the protestants don't want the Catholics gaining a foothold in the US (see the hate for Italians and Irish)

    Sorry couldn't help myself there.

Comparing the drug cartels to ISIS is a joke.

Is a kid coming from Mexico the same as a person who needs to get out of a war zone because they have been threatened?

If you've been following the border crisis, a lot of kids aren't coming from Mexico. But the cartel problem is just as ruthless in Mexico as ISIS is.

ISIS killed about 5,500 people so far. Mexican Cartels kill about 10-20K per year (110K since escalation in 2008) ISIS is about 10K or so strong, the cartels have an army of about 100K.

Yeah the comparison is dumb cause the Cartels actually are scary. ISIS are just a pest.

So the cartels have a piece of land the size of Jordan where they come and go as they wish and have total control over themselves and the locals or do they live in thier areas and pay off the gov't, police and local officIals to look the other way?

Would you leave your front door unlocked and let random kids come and go as they wish through your house? Of course not. But you think the country should.

Come and go as they wish isn't exactly the real term.

We'd process them if they make it here, just like we allow Cubans the same chance based on a 60 year old rule. Who is a bigger threat to our national security right now, drug cartels in Mexico and South America, or the lonely island of irrelevancy in Cuba?

To answer your first question, the cartels have all of the above to what you just asked.

The Mexican army and police can deal with the cartel and if they want our help, they would ask, but have not and we all know why.

But back to the original question which still hasn't been answers.

Since you're going to deport the hispanic kids and banish them back to certain death, are you willing to give political asylum to the 40k plus Christian Iraqi's whom are in danger from ISIS? Or do we "not have enough room" for them either.

Since we want to solve the ISIS problem, which currently does not affect us directly (other than potential oil fields of Halliburton), are conservatives willing to spend endless money to try and fight ISIS? Whereas the border problem which actually does involve us directly, we are taking no measures or action in South America of the magnitude of this ISIS crisis. Are you willing to spend money and send military support to try and overthrow the cartels and drug trade?

So can the Iraqi army and police deal with ISIS... or do they need us to try and clean up this mess after we spent 9 years there trying to build it up and give them billions of money in defense?

Catholics do not have nor would try to take over the religious part of this country, that is laughable. They are outnumber more than 2 to 1.

Not to mention, the right was none too pleased with the Pope's comments on gays and income inequality.

    LMAO.

Who did they ask for help?

Us, they can't control them. Mexican government can't ask for help because they don't know who their are possible moles in their country. One wrong word, they will be silenced along with their whole family, we are talking about Godfather type atmosphere, not some idiot Jihadist who doesn't care about such things.

We should never been there the first place. I only hate one person in this world and his name is Dick Cheney, he took my favorite cousin away for senseless war for Haliburton. May he burn in hell for it.

Apples and oranges, same danger and threat.

Cartels and drugs are a bigger threat to our national security than ISIS. Neither are major threatening, but at least the cartels and drug trade have a direct link to our country, whereas ISIS is all the way in Iraq and Syria, two places we don't have any real ties to.

I know you don't care... nor should you.

The right will jump to the side of the catholics if there's something about birth control and gay marriage, but when the Pope speaks positively on gays, and then rails against the rich over income inequality... suddenly he's not thinking clear.
