Great stars. Terrible show. Very tired premise.
As per The Walking Dead, I actually had to binge some episodes to make better sense of the mid-season finale. A lot of jumping around.

It really allows the plot to continually evolve since they keep introducing new characters central to the main story line. Kind of smart if you think about it.

Surprising to me this "Arlington" place is still around as relaxed as they are about "roamers" and security. Seems ripe for a hostile takeover. It would be hard to "get comfortable" again in another place, knowing what it was like on the road.

Yep. If you stop to think about it, the writing is terrible when it comes to plotting and dialogue. Not even sure why I still watch.
Call me crazy but I don't think the plot flow the majority of the time. This is the zombie Apocalypse. Disorder is everywhere.

In capable hands, that isn't a detriment to plotting. In fact, it can be utilized as the driving force. Look at how well some writers handle zombie stories. There's just a lot of bad/inconsistent writing in this show, especially when compared to its contemporaries.
It seems cool to hate on The Walking Dead nowadays. I still enjoy each and every episode.

I'm not hating, just to clarify, and it irritates the **** out of me when it becomes popular to hate on something and everyone piles on. But that doesn't mean it should be exempt from critique. It's what I do for a living, so I like to talk about the strengths and weaknesses of shows/movies/books, especially successful ones. When it comes to plotting and (definitely) dialogue, The Walking Dead falls well short, in my opinion.
