I thought it was just a cramp for La Stella. We cannot afford to have him out of the lineup unless he absolutely has to be.

At least we are trying Heyward back at the top.

I think this was the obvious choice, to lead Heyward off. No matter how much they want it to be so, Heyward hasn't been a power hitter/run producer. He is more suited to a leadoff roll, at least as this team is currently constituted.

It's funny how the Braves announcers lauded BJ's work at the top of the order, despite metrics to the contrary. And it has been funny to listen to them talk about how Heyward is much better in the middle of the order. It's just not reality. Even Glavine said that he liked Heyward more in the middle of the order. I would too, if he was crashing homers and doubles!

Can someone please tell me TLS is hurt and he's not just getting a day off when this team desperately needs its regulars in there?

Gosselin. Batting second. Time running out. Fredi is either incredibly stupid, incredibly stubborn, or an incredible combination of the two that somehow is worse than either on their own.

I don't think you see Heyward up there leading when La Stella's back though... either he stays or Freddie will move La Stella from the two-hole or Freddie from the three. Fredi is obsessed with L/R.

    I would of done:
    Heyward
    JUP
    Freeman
    Gattis
    CJoh
    Simmons
    Gosselin
    BJ

Yes, Fredi says just a day off. You've got to be absolutely kidding me. THAT is what we are talking about when we say the manager plays a role in this disaster.

And just putting Gosselin in the same spot because he can't bother to switch things up.

Because God knows we can't start with three straight lefties against a lefty...even though the guy leading off is awful against them.

Heaven forbid we swap Justin and Freddie OR move Justin to the second spot with TLS being given an off day when he's one of the best hitters and the team is sinking.

    Totally all makes sense.

3 best players on the team against lefties are batting 4-5-6. Just stupid.

It baffles me that Fredi was voted top 3 managers in the NL by NL coaches. How? The man is literally an idiot.

You can't vote for yourself, so that probably got him an extra vote or three.

The other managers were just hoping that this would convince the Braves to keep him. Its better for the other teams if Freddi is the manager.

Ok....with Hey leading off, we should score some runs. I have a good feeling we win tonight. Need the Nats to collapse too.
Take these next two against LA, take 2/3 from the As, and then let the momentum build while Nats start to feel the heat.
Bottom line, the whole team has been sucky all year...I think they can all get hot at once and we can go streaking......

I better have another pre-game beverage.

Beating good teams demands the execution of basic things.

    1. Work the count, especially when you're trailing. Don't just go up there hacking at everything.
    2. Play defense.
    3. Learn how to block a baseball like you've caught before.
    4. Don't give up hits to pitchers.

Giving Gosselin ABs with lefty on the mound.

At least he didn't have Chris Johnson batting twice in his proposed batting order

La Stella is hitting close to .350 against lefties this year. It's beyond stupid to just give him a day off right now UNLESS he really is injured. Hell; put Gosselin in the outfield if you want him to get the ABs against the lefty.
