Fredi should be fired. I really don't care about the result as the result basically hinges on Gattis/Justin and Minor, Fredi needs to be gone.

I agree, this is only a problem because of Fredi being such a dumb arss. He is also sitting Bonifacio who has been his best vs lefties while BJ stinks against them and pretty much everyone else. Plus when he plays Bonifacio it is too much at his worst position (shortstop) or second (La Stella's spot). Bonifacio needs to be playing CF mostly and sometimes third for CJ. While Gosselin needs to be playing third while he's hot because he's a big upgrade there defensively to CJ, etc.

In most cases I would want Bonifacio in center against a lefty. But he is 1 for 10 against Lester for a career OPS of .282 against him. BJ has a career OPS of .655. Not great either. But I think Fredi's choice in center has some basis in logic.

If this had anything to do with it then Fredi would've of considered such splits in the past (not that I was simply talking about tonight). Plus the same goes for your arguments for platooning La Stella. Besides, those splits didn't even apply last night since we faced a righty starter.

PS: Any splits with regard to BJ mean little to nothing in his favor since he is a lot worse now than when he put those up.

Would it just kill the idiot to stick Gosselin in left for a game?

So, what the hell did La Stella do to deserve to lose his starting job?

Dammit, Fredi, you're making it really hard to defend you.

He hits lefty and Fredi doesn't like that.
All you need is Hart and Cox.

I wonder if Goose or TLS can play LF? That would be our best lineup right now with Goose's hot hand.

OAK got the leadoff hitter on 2B and the 2 hitter didn't bunt.

    Is that legal?

Wouldn't be a Minor start without a long ball.... Sadly, his next start is in Cincinnati's homer happy park.

*sigh* As I said if Mike can't get the ball down it's going to be a short night for him.

Mike Minor's insane HR/FB rate continues. 15.4% on the year. Only 2 pitchers in baseball have a higher rate than that and his career is at 10.7%. Kind of insane in all honesty.

Also ESPN is ****. Complete ****.

Justin Upton sure does suck at baseball. If only he came through in the clutch.
