It's time to consider a career in scouting or coaching. Tough break. He was dominant for us. Got way overused, though.
I think the braves need to ask for a refund because these TJ surgeries seem to be routine until a braves player has it.

Sad stuff. He was dominant during his time.
Just a shame. All you can say
Chopping With The Braves And Rolling With The Tide
Guy was a lot of fun to watch. Might be a little early to start talking in the past tense, but at this point I think you have to assume that Jonny's not likely to throw another pitch again.
Sad, from my Alma mater too
Someone needs to ask if there aren't more repeat surgeries now than ever before. Is it not working as well on hard throwers?
WTF 3 TJ surgeries? That's pretty much unheard of, and combine the fact that Medlen and Beachy go down for the second time in a year, WTF is going on here? Ridiculous I say. JS really did sign a deal with the devil didn't he?
So bad for Johnny. Besides Kimbrel and Smoltz, probably the most dominate reliever I seen in a Braves uniform. Guy was unhittable when healthy and truly a closer despite the fact he wasn't the 9th inning guy most of the time. There was no other reliever in the game I'd want coming in with runners on base, guy was untouchable.
Heartbreaking.
I do think there is something to how we teach pitching in our organization/use out staff that lends itself more towards this than other organizations. It scares me actually with Wood looking at his motion too...
