Will it be overturned? I haven't seen a replay angle that looks conclusive so will hope for the best.

Medlen, Beachy, and Venters defy the logic of being healthier.

Glad it was upheld. Probably the best defensive play I've seen from CJ and in a big spot, no less.

I'm surprised we got that call, I guess the tie doesn't go to the runner when the call on the field is out.

If Wood keeps on throwing so many innings will they let him get past the 40 innings barrier increase from last year?

He has batted between .200-.220 all season long. If that doesn't get you pulled from the lineup, nothing will.

And what barrier is that? With 25 games remaining after tonight he is going to hit 40 more IP if that is what you mean.

Why was TLS playing so close to second base? This game would be over if he were positioned conventionally.

Crimson Cowboy, your broadcast is well ahead of mine. I saw your "victory" .gif two pitches before the final strike. It kind of gave away the ending but no complaints from me. 8^)

actually it depends on what umpire you talk to. some have different interpretations of the rule. but it needed conclusive evidence to overturn and there was none

Gosselin was playing second, but your point still stands.

I actually posted it a bit early. I thought that foul ball by the last hitter with two strikes was a swing and a miss. Had to edit it real quick before Craig actually did strike him out. Didn't want to jinx it after all.

I really like Alex Wood, to even think of trading him would be ridiculous.
For me he and Teheran make up 2 #1 starters. just look at hits allowed vs innings pitched.

That was Gosselin, CJ was brought in for TLS so Gosselin moved to second. Fredi will get credit for the move based on the play by CJ in the 9th. But CJ is so slow he makes plays routine for others look like web gems, at least when he actually shows more range than a statue. Plus his arm isn't really up to par for third, it is borderline at best. Gosselin is actually good at third, but he is also good defensively at second too.

We do use some odd positioning at times.
