Why question idiotic moves by an idiotic manager? The questions all answer themselves.

Heyward injured, or does he have Ebola or whatever Gattis has?

Fredi just wanted to see what Doumit looked like in RF in case he's playing for Fredi next year in the softball leagues.

    It all makes sense now.

I thought at first it might be because we're facing a lefty, but then why wouldn't CJ be in the lineup?

So, I looked, and we're facing a righty, which Heyward does a lot better against than Doumit.

So, then I asked myself, does Jason just need a day off? But then, I remembered everyone got a day off yesterday, and we're desperately trying to find a way to get back in the race.

Finally, I decided it's because Jason doesn't love baseball, only to remember BJ is in the lineup.

In all seriousness, Heyward better be injured, or Fredi should not have been allowed to put a uniform on tonight. Someone should have been there when he filled out the lineup card, grabbed it from him, tore it up, kicked him in the nuts and said try again.

Sure, let's play Ryan Doumit and his Mendoza line average instead of giving a young player some playing time.

This would be a good time, amidst all of the negativity, to mention what a baller Julio Teheran has been this year. He's slipped up a couple of times down the stretch, but do bear in mind that he's well into uncharted territory w/r/t IP. He and Alex Wood have answered the bell and could easily be knocking on the door of 20 wins with any reasonable amount of run support.

Heyward did get hit in the thumb by a pitch the day before yesterday. He was taken out of that game due to it becoming to swollen to throw and swelling can last several days so maybe it is still an issue. Hopefully he's been icing it and taking anti-inflammatory drugs.

Not sure why Terdo isn't getting a start though. He can't be any worse then Doumit has been.

Yeah, heyward is hurt. Just because Doumit is in there instead of Terd doesn't mean I should bitch about a lineup that doesn't include CJ and does include La Stella.

@DOBrienAJC: #Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez would not rule out the possibility that Jason Heyward could be defensive replacement.

    Where's that old meme...
