If Peraza is one of them, he loses his defensive advantage and he doesn't look like much of a hitter. Offensively Peraza looks like Simmons without the uppercut. Which has a healthy amount of value, but is it forsure better than TLS? Perhaps, but for sure?

    Yeah, you've got to deny the crown if offered it in public.

    I thought that as soon I read what he said in the PC—dismissing the question without unequivocally rejecting the idea. I see two possibilities: either he's going to get the job, or he and JS had an agreement that he would get offered the GM job if it opened up, and leaking the fact that he was offered the job will allow him to refuse it but save face and maintain his authority working in another capacity.
