Any ideas on how I can make mine hurt less? Serious question....

And yes I've already tried having a tiny chinese man walk barefoot on my back so please don't suggest that

Have you tried the contaption that puts you upside down? As we get older, our spine contracts. Being upside down helps stretch the spine out.

    And back extension exercises.

Go get one of those fitness balls.

Lay on it with your back on top and your body weight balanced so that way you're doing a backwards arch. Lay like that for 5 minutes a day.

Yup got an inversion table. Helps but only temporarily. I've had mri's that showed degenerative cartilage surrounding my 13 & 14 vertebrae

Have fitness ball and a styrofoam roller (used for arching the back) both work like the inversion table, I feel great for an hour or so and then it just tightens back up

    Well I guess you're screwed.

Get an air dyne bike it works wonders for sciatica

When you start to feel it just hop on the bike for 20 min and viola you're fixed!
