GDT x 3: Braves at Phillies before taking it to the house...

Friday was season in a microcosm. At least Upton has his 100 RBIs so he can sit the rest of the year. I was hoping for Joe T to have a couple of starts, but he already has proven he's a better pinch-hitter than Doumit.

    Have a great winter.

I swear that Chutley and Daniel Murphy hit 20 doubles a year against us.

I'd like to see the team built around the idea of him as the #3 hitter (with Heyward #2 and Freeman #4). We need a legit man for #1 with some OBP skills.

At least we get to watch Harang pitch one more inning for the Braves. Fredi's idiocy worked to our advantage for once.

Hell of a year by Harang, dont think anyone thought he'd be this good for the Braves.

    Is Peraza a leadoff type?

Tip of the cap to Aaron Harang for one heck of a season. In line for his 12th win. Departs with a 3.57 ERA in 33 starts. #Braves

All that for a late ST signing, worth every penny.

I am really amazed at how solid Harang was for us this year. He'll get paid.

Gotta give Wren credit. Santana and Harang filled the void left by Medlen and Beachy quite well.

Someone will say I am complaining or being negative. But I will go ahead and post these.

Lowest OBP of any full or nearly full season of his career. Highest strikeout total in a season. However his power numbers in doubles and home runs were absolutely fine. Best season as far as power goes since his awesome 2011 season. It's kind of a peculiar year overall for Justin. Middle of the road for average, but closer to higher end for slugging and OPS.

All in all we would all love to see his batting average be closer to .275 I think. I would love to see a bit more consistency from him.

He was great at finding the low-cost gems.

Sure has the potential. I hate putting a rookie there, especially with Fredi at the helm. If he struggles for a few days Gosselin will take his place.
