    MLB Playoffs Thread

    NL
    WC game: Giants at Pirates
    NLDS: Giants/Pirates vs. Nats
    NLDS: Cardinals vs. Dodgers

    AL
    WC game: Athletics at Royals
    ALDS: Athletics/Royals vs. Angels
    ALDS: Tigers vs. Orioles

I've had Dodgers/Tigers for the past few years, probably wrong but i'll stick with it.

Team anyone but Stl/Wash which means that will be the NLCS

Had A's-Cardinals before the season. If I had to pick right now, I'd probably go Dodgers-Tigers.

Pirates are the only NL team I'm rooting for. I'm OK with any of the AL teams winning.

I think the NL could go either way. If the Dodgers play well, they'll get it. If not, probably the Nats.

It's an even numbered year which means the Giants will somehow win again.

If there's any justice among the baseball Gods, it'll be Kansas City-Pittsburgh. Highest-rated series would be Dodgers-Angels or Dodgers-Oakland.

I really think Mattingly might get fired if the Dodgers don't win the NLCS. And honestly, with that roster, he probably should if they don't.

If Kershaw's arm doesn't fall off they'll win. He'll account for half the needed wins by himself.

Alright, here we go. I should probably stick with preseason Athletics-Cardinals pick, but I'll go a different route.

    AL WC: Royals over Athletics
    NL WC: Giants over Pirates

ALDS: Tigers over Orioles; Angels over Royals
NLDS: Nationals over Giants; Dodgers over Cardinals

    ALCS: Tigers over Angels
    NLCS: Dodgers over Nationals

    World Series: Tigers over Dodgers

He's had a phenomenal season. He and Greinke make an awesome 1-2, but I think their bullpen is spotty. Will be interesting to watch how it turns out for them.

Well, when he can go 8 innings every start, even whenever he's not on his game, the bullpen only means so much for half the series. haha

Last time Royals were in playoffs, John Schuerholz was their GM, Charlie Liebrandt led team in ERA & they beat Bobby Cox's Jays in the ALCS.

Now a JS disciple is GM and a Cox disciple is managing.

No, this isn't the Braves. These are teams that actually know how to get a big hit.
