First moves to report were Sunday: Ian Thomas and Aaron Northcraft placed on 40-man; Carlos Perez and Ryan Buchter dropped off.

I think it may have been Greg Aquino, not Alex, there's no Alex Aquino who's played an inning of professional baseball.
That being said, BBA's MFA tracker doesn't have us signing him, so I'm confused.

From Baseball America‘s transaction page comes word that the Braves have signed former Royals utilityman Pedro Ciriaco to a minor league contract. It presumably will come with an invitation to spring training, where the 29-year-old will try to win an Opening Day roster spot.
Ciriaco batted just .213/.229/.255 with only two extra-base hits in 49 plate appearances this season for the Royals and his career line is .270/.299/.372, but he has played every position except catcher and pitcher.
The Royals cut Ciriaco from their 40-man roster in July and sent him outright to Triple-A Omaha. He elected free agency last week.
Also announced the re-signing of Matt Kennally, making two system catchers already under wraps (Schlehuber).
Ciriaco is a decent signing. I'm not expecting a whole lot, but he might compete for the last spot on the bench. Good guy to have in AAA if nothing else.
Kevin Ahrens, former No. 1 pick of the Blue Jays (2007), re-signed with the Braves as minor league free agents. Hit 41 doubles last year at Lynchburg, six more than anyone else in the Carolina League.
Nice third base insurance.
How good can the guy be, he's a number one draft choice 7 years ago and is still only in A ball. I wouldn't count on him too much.
I got to see Kevin Ahrens quite a bit this year, nice player. Good glove, above average arm, decent speed, solid 3B. Hard line drive swing, any lift and the HR totals would be higher. He had other offers but wanted to stay in the Braves organization.
I haven't seen an update of the 40 man roster but Cedric Hunter's absence from the list of 6 year minor league free agents leads me to conclude he has been added to the 40 man.
I will try to confirm and post that FA list here as soon as I can this weekend.

Almonte signed to a major league contract.
Wood and Wang on consecutive days could be hard on the opposition.
He would not be the first Atlanta Brave named Zoilo!
Santana has officially declined arb offer. In fact, no player did. Lesson of Morales and Drew last year did not sink in with anyone.
If another team signs him, Braves are projected as getting 32nd pick.
