I'm ok with Heyward because of his elite defense but Upton is a big problem moving forward. Arizona seems like the smart one now.
    Sheesh, you really dislike Justin

And for some reason, believe BJ will improve??

And what if Delgado becomes a 2 or 3 starter and PRado returns to being a 3-4 WAR player?

We got the much better end of that deal. Wouldnt say Prado's D is great but certainly better than the other two. Delgado hasn't been better than Julio. We improved the team.

Delgado's doing well. I'd still make that deal every day.

Heyward had a hit, a walk, and a screamer to the LF warning track yesterday. He's fine.

Nobody is as bad as BJ has been. Just becuase I think he will improve doesn't mean I think he will be good. At least Upton plays defense.

And what if Justin returns to form? Based on what has happened, we won

Yes, Upton could still easily become a good player but he is being paid a lot while Delgado will be being paid nothing.

I'm just upset with Justin. I'd still make the deal but its very possible that Arizona traded someone that they thought didn't have what it takes to be a consistent major leaguer.

What if Justin Upton becomes an MVP candidate? What if Chris Johnson contends for a batting title?

Prado has a .680 OPS out of the 3B position, and Delgado has a 1.43 whip and .314 BAA. If either of these guys were on our team this year, we'd be complaining to get them out of the lineup/rotation.

Agree although some people still think Prado is having a better year than Uggla because of batting average and he doesn't strikeout a lot

I still don't get how people aren't sold on Gattis. The guy will sometimes swing at some ugly pitches but he works a lot of counts and has ridiculous plate coverage. You can't teach that power. He is still a guy that would hit 35+ homers if he played 150+ games.

If he can learn to be a little more patient I'm in. I'm just Leary on letting him replace Mac
