    And at least this season. That's one of my larger worries regarding the loss of Hudson: it's hard to be confident that Wood and Beachy will be able to dependably pitch deep into games.

    How did that single to shallow left fall? GameCast makes it appear as though Simmons should have easily caught it.

    he was shaded up the middle for the DP and it was just far enough away from him

    Simmons has 11 jacks but his approach has been terrible all season long. Hes not an all or nothing hitter. I dont know if the coaches have said something and its a habit he cant break or if the coaches are just letting him figure it out for himself.

    I'm not watching the game (getting ready for work) but as I count it the Mets have 2 soft fly ball singles, an infield single, and I forget the other hit, but IIRC it was a grounder, and I believe only one linedrive today, that was an out. Lol
