    I hope Cunningham gets a chance. Thought he deserved a bench spot last year.

    In place of Schafer? Or after they DFA'ed him? Or in place of Doumit, and only gone with 2 catchers?

    I suspect Everth Cabrera will sign with a team that has an opening for a starting SS. There are some teams out there that need one.

    I have reason to believe that you don't read Mark Bowman enough, because that would prove helpful in your understanding.

    Also poor Madduxfan was harkening back to his brief stint as an MLB intern and lamenting that they kept Bowman and didn't keep him and questioning his own worth and existence if MLB.com preferred Bowman. Chugging bleach was mentioned, which would have proven detrimental to his health. So we were helpfully talking him off the ledge.

    Yeah. Some of us discussed it a lot here. Made a ton of sense. Would've saved 700k or so and had someone with potential getting some experience. Schafer was never going to do well on this team. He made BJ look good.

    I saw this on Twitter earlier, but it didn't make much sense to me:

    Joel Sherman
    @Joelsherman1
    For those wondering about Evereth Cabrera for #Yankees #Mets, #Padres felt lost some athleticism and survived mainly on that not baseball IQ

    Just get him on the Braves roster. Just so he can't kill us anymore.

    He might have gotten off on the wrong foot with Braves fans, but he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would step on any toes in the clubhouse.

    I agree with you there!! I also would have rather seen Constanza than Schafer!
