    "I Can't Breathe"

These 3 words are going to become very dangerous. Let me explain:

Last evening, another officer and I had to wrestle with a suspect who was resisting. This individual had multiple warrants out for his arrest. While attempting to take the suspect to the ground, he started shouting "I can't breathe.I can't breathe". After hearing this I eased up and lessened the amount of force I was using. Upon doing this, the suspect chuckled and pulled away from me leaving the other officer very vulnerable. Fortunately, I was able to re-engage before anything happened, and we were able to handcuff the suspect.

Thankfully, in all of that no one was injured. I don't think this will end up being an isolated incidence however. With all the publicity this is getting, I can see resisting subjects using this "I can't breathe" a whole lot more.

you're right, cops should have unlimited power and shouldn't be held accountable at all

"I won't be held accountable" is way more dangerous.

Seriously, let's just completely ignore the fact that, if the cop hadn't KILLED THE GUY, this phrase wouldn't be blown up.

Why didn't Garner just accept his killing? Ugh, now we have to deal with this problem that Garner caused. SMH.

Hey guys, good job ignoring that criminals are now using it for their own good.

    Well done.

Unfortunately resisting arrests isn't considered a negative by some posters on here.

Cops should be able to kill people without them resisting... I think we can all agree on that

You have to forgive Sturg. In his world there are no cops or military. I mean afterall, they don't protect any of his freedoms.

What his warrants were for makes a difference on his level of resisting arrest?

    were you choking him? Headlock?

If you had to resort to that.....sad, really sad. He resists, he gets tazed, period.

    Again, common sense.

Soon we will hear about how cops are lacking common sense for using a taser:

That's not true. You ought not put words in my mouth.

I believe in a very strong defense that protects this country. I police in law enforcement that enforces GOOD laws (i.e. - protecting people and their property). I also don't believe in cops using deadly force on American citizens. But I know that makes me a nutjob
