I want to say on a side note, that I personally think Obama will pardon Snowden by the end of his term. I don't think Obama wants to get involved in a fight with the GOP Congress over defense right now, or make Snowden an election issue for his potential Democrat successor.

If there's one thing Obama loves doing, it is trolling the GOP with executive orders. Waiting until after the 2016 election is over, and then pardoning Snowden as one of the last things he does in office during the lameduck session is going to be almost a given IMO. If more courts in the judicial system continue to go against this, I'm almost certain Obama will ride the wave and do it. I'm sure our intelligence community knows Snowden's exact location in Russia at all times, POTUS has probably been in contact with Snowden off the record. Also maybe why Snowden has hinted he's ready to come home soon.

    Politics is a dirty business.

Just look at Rand Paul. Already taking some neo-con stances to try and win the nomination.

Obama has won the nomination, and the Presidency.... twice

    I'm no fan of Rand

sturg, Rand is going to have a tough time in the GOP debates when his colleagues are going to slaughter him by using the ticking time bomb scenario to scare the base, while he's trying to campaign on principles and pragmatism of getting rid of the NSA's program.

    Rand has no chance.

That being said, Obama is lamer than Jimmy Carter.

I'd love to see him try and pardon Snowden, if only to see what Hillary is forced to say in response.

I think Rand would've had a better chance if the GOP didn't require people to be registered Republicans to vote in GOP primaries. He wouldn't have had to start campaigning farther right than he actually is. But since independents and non-affiliated people can't vote in GOP primaries... Rand is screwed pretty much. If he by some miracle wins the nom, he'll have moved so far right that anyone on the left is going to kill any chance of him moving back to the center for the general.
