They would have to trade 2-3 firsts and maybe Fletcher Cox. He's probably a good fit there, but I would stick with Foles.

They're picking like 20 so they'd have to move up to one to get Mariotta. Maybe they work out a tentative deal to move up to 2 for him with Tennessee but it's not like Tennessee is like the Rams, they need a QB too.

Only way I see it working, trade like 2 ones, 2 twos and Nick Foles to the Titans and evne then they still probably hang up without another 1 or another NFL starter.

Yeah, I don't think its possible for them to move up. They are drafting too low. Unless they want to offer the Ditka package plus dip into next years picks.

Mariota could be a hardcore bust unless he go to the right team. He's a system quarterback and needs to have that particular system in place to be successful. Not saying he can't learn a offense, but it will take some time and like all young players will go through bumps along the way.

An AFC scout believes Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly will "mortgage the future to go get" Oregon redshirt junior QB Marcus Mariota in the draft.
"All these teams high in the draft are all going to see the same things on tape with Mariota, and I'll bet he starts to fall on draft day," the scout said. "Once that happens, (Philadelphia Eagles coach) Chip (Kelly) will mortgage the future to go get him. If he misses on him, (Kelly) can just bolt back to college." The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Heisman winner was the favorite to go No. 1 throughout the season, but momentum has started to move towards Jameis Winston. Now, more people than this scouting source are speculating that Mariota could drop in the draft. "We've seen the same concerns on tape that everyone else is seeing in terms of his anticipation, pocket poise and simplicity of scheme," noted NFL.com. "Kelly recruited Mariota to Oregon to run his offense, and we're sure he would love to have a quarterback with Mariota's ability outside of the pocket to fully unlock the Eagles' offensive potential." The Eagles pick No. 20.

As much as I want Mariotta, if Philly wants to give us Foles and two 1st rounders and this years 2nd rounder, then I'd gladly send them the 2nd overall pick.

I like your draft for the Saints although I know nothing But the tackle in the 4th round. I am not the biggest fan of Dupree but I loathe the idea of taking a cb in the first round that will take a year of getting burned to get up to speed like most CBs.

I would think that the Quinn hiring would take these smallish DE\OLB hybrids off the board for Atlanta would they not?

I don't see any ties to Quinn and a DE like that if we are in fact moving to a 4-3.

He also wasn't in Seattle when they drafted Irvin.

In fact, he was instrumental in bringing in Bennett to man DE in Seattle. Bennett has an inch, and 25 lbs on Irvin. Seems like thats more his "guy".

Sounds right. I wasn't sure if he was there or not.

Him moving Irvin from DE to SLB is encouraging as the more I've looked at these smallish OLB\DE prospects, the more I get skiddish of them. Personally, the Quinn hire makes me feel a bit better that its not such a strong possibility.

Yeah, I've mentioned how I hate drafting those hyprid OLB/DE that rely solely on speed in college.
