I think in a perfect word Jace Peterson has a big ST and leads off for us moving Markakis into the middle of the lineup.

What a terrible lineup. It is almost to the point of awful that makes it worth watching.

I won't comment on the **** behind Freeman, because it really doesn't matter what order you put those guys in, including the pitcher. I will say that at the beginning of the year Fredi will start with Markakis, Simmons, and Freeman at the top. About a month later, he'll move someone (probably BJ) to the top and drop Markakis to 4th or 5th and make some ignorant statement about putting him down there to try to drive in runs.

Yeah, it's kinda depressing when half of our lineup can be outhit by Gallardo, Bumgarner, Travis Wood and Mike Leake.

I really hope they don't try Markakis / Simmons as #1 and #2 in the lineup: slotting a guy that gets on base, but with aging legs and declining speed, and following him with a swing-out-of-his-shoes hitter who makes hard—but often not very useful—contact, seems like a recipe for a dizzying number of double-plays.
