There's a difference between book smarts and common sense. Carson is obviously capable of being intelligent, he was a brain surgeon.
I mean people who think things like the Earth is 6000 years old, the Pyramids were used to store grain, the Holocaust could have been prevented if the Jews had guns, prison turns people gay, there's no such thing as a war crime, that Charles Darwin was influenced by Satan to write the theory of evolution, so on so forth. Ben Carson is a radical in any imagination.

I will call it right now. I called Obama way back when he was tabbed to give the state of the union rebuttal. Trump I think is going to get a boost from being viewed as a Washington outsider and just from the obsessive celebrity culture we have. Name recognition means a lot these days. I also think the Republican establishment will do a good job rallying the base around Trump when/if he gets the nomination.
I am voting for Trump just out of spite for what happened to Ron Paul. We lost our chance at a great president. Now its just picking which dick we want to ass **** us for the next 4-8 years.

It’s over."

no one here has discussed or seems troubled by his escorting a member of the press from a press conference or condoning his supporters "roughing up" attendees at a rally?
Let alone the xenophobic racist rhetoric.
Haven't we seen this before? Complete with threats of detaining and documenting the supposed Middle Eastern threat.
Those predicting his general election victory, who outside of (R) primary voters will vote for him?
It is a given 47% will already not vote for him
Remember how that went ?

The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is to make sure he doesn’t get a gun.
The Donald is the only candidate who could make Republicans vote for Hillary.
what polls ?

The ones I see are the same that had Romney winning in a landslide last time.
Polls are meaningless at this point. Lotta game left
Every time Trump is confronted he blows it -- how does he handle the everyday scrutiny that is waiting.
47% -- "women in binders "
"lock box"
" no communism in Poland"
Let's say the 47% are solid behind HRC then add all the undecideds Trump has run off --- I don't see it
unless of course Chris Christie proves undaunted by Bridgegate and takes the (R) nomination

57... which R do you think can win?

One problem with this is that it’s not enough for Trump to merely avoid fading. Right now, he has 25 to 30 percent of the vote in polls among the roughly 25 percent of Americans who identify as Republican. (That’s something like 6 to 8 percent of the electorate overall, or about the same share of people who think the Apollo moon landings were faked.) As the rest of the field consolidates around him, Trump will need to gain additional support to win the nomination. That might not be easy, since some Trump actions that appeal to a faction of the Republican electorate may alienate the rest of it. Trump’s favorability ratings are middling among Republicans (and awful among the broader electorate).

I really want Trump to make it to the southern primaries. He may sweep the south. It would push Jeb and Rubio out of the race.
