I also enjoy how they've managed to include a lot of Breaking Bad Easter eggs (the pinky ring, the Kevin Costner line from the finale, Belize, etc.) without making the show seems like it's riding BB's coat tails. As the Hobbit and Star Wars know, it's really difficult to make a prequel when you simply try to rehash everything that made the original so good. As much as I would have enjoyed seeing Gus in the season finale, it's definitely better for the show to hold off on things like that.

In the first episode they go to a house in Nebraska I think. The scene was black and white. Dude worked at a food place in a mall. Was that character they showed Walter White?
Read one review that said the first season was as well-executed or more so than the first season of Breaking Bad. I think that's largely a combo of the creative team being together for so long, but it's a good point and promising sign for the show's future. I hope we get to see Gus Fring next season.
As I've probably already said, this show has started off way better than I ever could have imagined.

Jesse was annoying as hell...
Wehre can I find this whole season? Is it on netflix?
Just watched the finale... Great start. Appears to be a classic in the making imo.

First season was awesome but I was a little disappointed with the finale. They spent the entire season setting up his transition from Jimmy to Saul. They showed how he would revert back to Slippin Jimmy every once in a while but overall he wanted to go the straight and arrow and be a legit lawyer. When he finally got the call to meet up with the guys from the firm in Santa Fe, he just all the sudden stops in the parking lot and turns around and basically becomes Saul? Made no sense. They spent an entire season building up the battle he was having within himself and then within 10 seconds they had him transform without any explanation. Seemed like lazy writing to me. Hopefully it will be explained in season 2 but that was a lot of build up with almost no payoff in the end.
