I'm told that RHP Pete Moylan has agreed to a minor lg deal w/ the #Braves. TJ surgery 1 yr ago, should be able to pitch in gms in April/May

Moylan was one of my favorite Braves so I am happy to hear this. He might not have much or anything left but I'd give him a shot too.

He was one of my favorites too. Now if we could somehow swing Will Ohman.
And no, Yeezus, I'm not being sarcastic.

I still say we owe it to Venters to offer him a minor league deal to let him rehab and try his last comeback with us too. I say that in part because Fredi is the most to blame for his career likely being over, IMO.

Nice! He should help in the clubhouse. Good addition.

YUS. I love Moylan!
Love this guy. I hope he makes it back.
John Hart watched Moneyball evidently. 30 newly acquired pitchers = 1 Harang.
He's probably had TJS three times.
He's trying to come back from his second TJS and according to Medlen he looks very good. Medlen tried to sell the Royals on signing him last month. But I think Peter has a preference for Atlanta given his history here, etc. Hopefully he makes it back and still has something in the tank. Maybe he can be lefty specialist Josh Outman's tag-team partner as a righty specialist.
It seems he's lost some of that weight, Medlen noted that and Moylan himself stated: “I’m doing fantastic, mate. Dropped 35 pounds.” said Moylan, who’s Australian. “My goal is to be 100 percent by end of spring. Ball is coming out great, though. Probably have to throw for some teams right around the start of spring to gauge interest, but there have already been some nibbles, which is encouraging.”
If they needed someone to throw sidearm, they could've just held on to Schlosser.

It sounds like Moylan is back to stay one way or another, Braves have discussed making him a minor league pitching coach once he retires. Hopefully his comeback works out though and he can become a pitching coach later on.
Another reason I plan to make more than a few drives to Gwinnett.
MLBTR update on Moylan: Atlanta has announced a two-year, minor league deal with Moylan. When he is done rehabbing, Moylan will become a player/coach with the club’s Rookie affiliate.
Note: Moylan's deal includes a Spring Training invite for 2016.
PS: Moylan apparently lost 40 pounds since last Spring Training with Houston, he's at 215 lbs now.
