Under-appreciated
Forever Fredi
Hmmm, I dont know if I've seen them in 32s, I've picked up a 6er recently when I needed an IPA. I'm glad even though I'm in the middle of nowhere I can still get Lagunitas Sucks and FSW Double Jack. Sadly no Wookey Jack.
Hopefully later this month I'll be on my way to NJ to taste the IPA I brewed over christmas. It's a lil funky from what my brother said, like kind of a BPA

I only started seeing them in Chicago a few months ago; apparently they're only available in certain markets, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're available here now on account of Lagunitas just opening a second brew-works in the Pilsen neighborhood—which is, felicitously, on my side of town. Now they just need to get the pub component up and running.

That would rock
I would kill for that.

Beer scene and many other things are why I'm heavily considering moving to Portland. I just don't know if I can be a west coast guy. I'm such an East Coaster.

Mother-****ing Hot Doug's, the best encased-meat emporium you're going to find, and an absolute Chicago institution that is sadly closing its doors 3 October 2014.
If, during the intervening time, you find yourself in Chicago, do not miss your opportunity to try Hot Doug's before it vanishes.

I'm sure I won't find my way to Chicago by then, but encased-meat emporium is an amazing sounding place.

Isn't any city just an encased-meat emporium?

Richard Ford's fiction. Rodney Crowell's music.

I may very well get a chance to try it this Saturday—and not just try it, but try it on cask, if I can make it to this event.
(Just found out yesterday I'm going to Savor this weekend.)

A really, really fantastic film, with a great narrative treatment by Altman, tremendous atmosphere provided by Altman and Vilmos Zsigmond's cinematography, and a soundtrack penned and recorded by the inimitable Leonard Cohen. I saw it a few years ago—a mediocre .avi download screened on a large tv—but I had the opportunity to catch it screened last night from a pretty well-preserved 35mm print.

Also: Leonard Cohen.

Smells like victory.
