Excited to see what type of stuff Perez has. We could end up hvaing multiple guys who can go multiple innings.

Hope Freddi uses them the right way.

Had a coach tell me in spring training 2014 that Williams Perez could be a mid-rotation MLB starter one day. He'll start in the pen for now.

Looking forward to seeing Perez too. Our infield defense will be a plus for him.

Look forward to the day that its Peraza/Simmons/Peterson around the horn with Freeman picking everything in sight.

Perez is a little beefy. But with Veal gone, Fredi needs a new arm to practice his butcher's skills on.

Yea, a groundball pitcher will like Peterson/Simmons combo up the middle and with CJ on the DL our defense at third is usually decent too.

That said, I totally disagree with Fredi's treatment of Kohn who has yet to give up a hit or a run. I know he walks too many but that's nothing new with him..

Judging from Perez' physique, my guess is the Braves' post-game spread had too many leftovers because they ordered the same amount as last year and forgot they didn't re-sign either Harang or Laird. Perez will help with waste-reduction, if not waist-reduction.

But Ruiz and D Peterson are future all-starts too so what on earth are we going to do?

JFYI, Dustin Peterson has already been moved off third to LF.

PS: I know you were being sarcastic so just saying. :)

We could trade them for more pitching prospects.

I hope Perez while raiding the clubhouse fridge doesn't get into AJ's beer. **** will hit the fan.

The nice thing about those kinds of players is they help us win now and in the future. And avoid the trap of last year when we had too much power.

From the look of Perez, I think he'd give ultra-lite beer a wide berth.
