Yeah - when I realized there was no money in it - I pivoted quickly.
I got a job offer to work for national geographic to be the cameraman for an outdoor show following fishermen and campers. The job description was something like:
- Must be in incredible shape
- Must be able to work in sub-zero temperatures hours per day
- $22K per year. Nothing else
I was like... yeah - let me look into something else.
Pretty much all of those things are true. Athletes maybe not though. The south can sure generate some athletes and Texas and Cali are the best primarily cause of size. NJ does a fantastic job of raising a variety of athletes, Baseball players, football players, soccer players, basketball players. You name it.
Water depends on where you're at, but the best state for water is Maine. I will give them that credit, they've got great water and a ton of it.
But for sure blueberries, tomatoes, women, weather, and so on so forth.
People leave NJ because it's not for everyone. My girlfriend fully admits she couldn't cut it in NJ. It's not the easiest place to live, but it's the best.

Why would anyone believe New Jersey has the best weather?
THey certainly don't have the best colleges.

I don't even know colleges in New Jersey. I guess Rutgers
NJ is fine. I've been a couple times. My first time on the shore though, it was so foggy that I decided not to put sun screen on. That was a weekend killer as I'm certain I got melanoma from that.
I'm actually going to AC this weekend for a bachelor party. Will be my first time.
Oh, I forgot - New jersey supposedly has the best drivers too. Yep
Where are you staying for bachelor party?
Go to Bare Exposure and talk the bachelor into getting bachelor dance on stage. It is hilarious (and something I would never do). Its BYOB
A final note: if I was a bachelor,** I would keep it a secret from these women. They are VICIOUS to the men of the hour. It's purportedly all in good fun, but they rip the man's boxers, and whip him furiously with his own belt. Your ass will have a SERIOUS purple welt the next day...not a good look if your fiance is not the understanding type. I think the hatred these girls have for men after working in such a place manifests itself in this act.
And they make the bachelor sign a waiver. That should be enough of a warning sign.

I don't believe we have the best weather.
But other colleges include: Princeton (come on), TCNJ, Seton Hall, etc.
And I can say the drivers in our surrounding states are TERRIBLE. no idea how to use the left lane, never use signals, insanely slow (not even safely slow; it's borderline dangerous). i think we're the best drivers in this area.
Its hit or miss on the caliper of girls, but fun to watch these dude get their ass beat. I think its like $20 cover and they charge a couple dollars to store your phone bc you can't take in. We would just bring a couple cases of beer in and laugh.
That's the only strip club I've ever been to.

It just sounded dumb coming from people who left NJ to come to college in VA.
A couple of my Jersey friends are great drivers. 2 of them are MISERABLE - really slow and tentative behind the wheel. And he criticizes VA drives for not being able to merge.
It's not knowing how to merge that's the problem, it's simply too many people trying to get on the same damn road. Traffic is always miserable in NOVA

Yeah. I was visiting one of our offices there - and the guy I was visiting said "We have to go to a gay strip club. It's just something you HAVE to do in Montreal."
This is a guy who I know has kids with multiple women - don't think he's gay or bi. But the man was ADAMANT about going to a gay strip club. We didn't go - but he IMs me every now and then to remind me we're going next time I'm in town.
Bizarre
If you're a 4 seasons kind of person, NJ is great. Only thing that sucks is the like 4 weeks in the summer (spread out between July and August) where it's hot and humid. I don't mind humidity, but when it's 95 and high humidity, that **** sucks. I'm a huge fan of hoodies, and NJ is the perfect place to own one cause from like Feb-May and late Sept-November you're great in them.
