Funny that "fans" will try to find anything bad about this team to fit their agenda .

I think the outlook on that deal looks solid from our perspective. People need to have faith in our pitching people. We don't usually acquire garbage when we go get it, and the strength of this staff is refining it and getting the most from their arms. Right up until and after their first and second TJ surgery that is.

So far, he has been. If he can establish himself as the number 2/3 guy and throw 200 innings per year, he will be very valuable.

I don't get the Gosselin hate that pervades this place every now and then, but he shouldn't be starting more games. When Chris Johnson is healthy, Fredi will probably have a cage match between Gosselin and Ciriaco with the loser leaving town. Those guys are nice guys to have on the end of the bench.

Ciriaco is essentially useless so I expect Fredi to pick him over Goose.

I'm having some people I'm on a business trip with keep telling me that no one watches baseball anymore, and that it's a dead sport. They're obviously ignoring the fact that it's easily the 2nd most popular sport in the US, and probably the 2nd in the world too.

Basketball or cricket are the second most popular sports in the world. In the US its probably second for sure though with soccer making a push.

I don't think basketball is more popular than baseball worldwide. Caribbean, South American, and Asian countries go ape**** over it. Anyway, that's beside the point.

Europe/South America/China/Afica I believe are more into Basketball at this point. Latin America is crazy into baseball for sure.

Expected in AAA around AS break. (In country, but missed ST, so it will take a while. Supposedly going to AAA).
