Here we see a business tycoon clearly being involved (manipulating perhaps) in a university. A university that's looking into correlation of what this oil man is doing and a drastic change in earthquakes. What is going on reading the article sounds like **** straight out of the Godfather, using threats and intimidation to get your way. Just not cool. Can't wait to live in a world where oil is so much less in demand.

If you think defense is the most important issue you're insane. How many foreign invaders have invaded the US? I'll give you a hint, it's a really small number. THe number of nations to have done it is basically Great Britain, Japan, Germany (who's only mission on US soil was a resounding failure and was sabotage not a direct attack) and that's it. Only other major one I can think of is Pancho Villa as part of the Mexican revolution. Same note, ask about foreign terrorist attacks on our soil, how many?

We're literally spending money we don't have to fight a war that cannot end because of something that doesn't effect the average American. Imagine if we halved our defense budget from 650 billion or whatever to 300 billion and took that 350 billion and invested it in rebuilding our infrastructure (which is in shambles) or rejuvenating dead cities like Detroit, or a number of other things that actually will impact American lives.
