Jace has arguably been the best defensive second baseman in baseball. Only Dee and Kinsler have provided more defensive value, but Jace has less playing time, obviously.

He's been awesome! I'm so glad he was given the opportunity in ST. He's been a huge blessing to this team and a true surprise for me. I knew he was solid but he's been all we could ask for.
The last I checked he was second in DRS behind only Gordon among second basemen.
@mlbbowman: Sounds like Callaspo's days (or hours) with the #Braves might be numbered. But Daniel Castro is not coming up from Gwinnett.

Are you thinking Peraza is coming up? I doubt it with CJ about to be activated. I am not saying CJ would in anyway block Peraza though. I just don't see them bringing up Peraza and moving Peterson right now.

I wouldn't think anyone would want Callaspo in a trade, even with someone making similar amount coming back. So if he's gone it's likely a DFA and then released.

The late scratch aspect of this whole thing is what's intriguing since we have a shorthanded bench. If it's not injury related, the circumstances seem more like a trade. Fat chance someone would want to trade for Bert though.
