Povese with seven strong innings with 7K's today.

It might be time to consider sending him to Carolina. There are a lot of older pitching on the A+ team that can be shuffled around since they have no potential long term significance to the organization.

Povse: I've seen him 3 times. When his offspeed stuff is on, he's nasty. I've seen him look really unhittable at times and I think he's overshadowed, but just as good in his own right. He threw on average that i've seen him anywhere from 92-95, with 95 being every once in awhile, but sits comfortably around 93-94. I like him a lot. Sobotka is nice as well.

That pick was sneered at a bit when it was made during the draft. Like that he has shown em up.

I was also impressed with Povse, I saw him pitch his previous start (not today). He looks like a good one to me, but I never questioned that pick personally.

Joseph Odom only has around 45 at bats at Carolina this year. Of his 11 hits, 9 have been for extra bases. Obviously, he has a very poor overall contact rate, but he definitely has some pop in his bat. I'm curious to see if he gets more ABs going forward, as Jose Briceno has hit nothing at that level.

Odom and Jake Schrader have two of the more intriguing bats at that level.
