    Ozzie Albies 4-4 today.

His average is up to .313 with an OPS of .772

He has to be considered our #1 prospect at this point.

I'd have to think so. Good chance that he is a top 20 prospect as well.

I don't think he will get there. Stature questions would probably keep him out for a lot of people.

Perhaps, but I don't think that matters as much at SS.

I think thethe is right. He looks like a solid bet for top 20 status.

My guess is if he isn't in the Top 20, he'll be really close to it. Both the scouties and the statties love the guy.

I think Albies has a better chance to grow into some power than Peraza and Mallex.

Son of a Beech that's a good line.

Also, that line from Davidson is pretty durn sweet.

I'm fascinated to see this guy play in person. He's so small and so good. The first time I did a Google image search on him, I was just stunned. Looks 14 years old.

I'd love to just see him just grow. 10 times now I've seen he and Davidson amongst others and my dog on his hind legs is bigger! But he's damn good!

Albies' swing is so sweet. I agree that he could add some power and become a 10 HR guy eventually.

I doubt he will grow any more. Besides height isn't that important for a middle infielder. Altuive is 5'5" and a great player why not Albies?

Well, just for the record: I did not kidnap Eric Young Jr following this afternoon's game; he is not duct-taped up in my trunk right now; we won't be passing through Las Cruces momentarily; and you won't hear from him ever again after we make the border-crossing in the dark desolation at Fort Hancock.

Albies looks to have a pretty strong lower body. He's going to have good doubles and triples power.

Saw him play last week, think Jose Altuve when watching him. Little dude, great swing and speed.

Players like Albies and Altuve (if he grows into that comp) are the exception not the rule, and I think (just personally) that will make some analysts to be on the "safer" side of his projection especially this early (although that's some of what it making him so tantalizing).

Says a lot they threw Moylan into Gwinnett right out of the gate imo.

He was already highly rated by most publications even before fulll season ball. I think he has only enhanced his stock in Rome this year.

Fangraphs scouting report at hte start of the year from their top 200 rankings:

    34. Ozhaino Albies, SS, Atlanta Braves
    More: Video & Full Report
    Hit: 20/55, Raw Power: 30/40, Game Power: 20/35, Run: 65/65, Field: 50/60, Throw: 60/60, FV: 55
Scouting Report: Albies home country Curacao has produced a great recent group of quick-twitch infielders with Andrelton Simmons, Jonathan Schoop and Jurickson Profar, while nearby Aruba has recently produced Xander Bogaerts. Albies is next in line, with some scouts comparing him to a smaller Francisco Lindor or Rafael Furcal with less arm strength. He’s 5-foot-9/150, just turned 18 and has only played one year of short-season ball, but scouts are already tossing 60’s on his hit tool, along with 60 or more on his speed, glove and arm. Feel free to scroll around this list and try to find another example of these kinds of tools; that and universally positive reports are why I’m so bullish on this kid. Power isn’t a big part of game and likely will never be, but he does everything else so well at such a young age, that no one seems to care. He has excellent feel for the strike zone and the bat head, plenty of bat speed, knowledge of when to use his gap power and when to keep the ball on the ground; his full-season debut in 2015 is arguably the most anticipated in baseball.
