If you're going to use those players, at least bat Chris Johnson 2nd to get him more at-bats. He will have protection behind him unlike what he has now with BJ and Dan.

Lannan has to be the worst pitcher in modern baseball (since mid 90's) to have 10 career wins vs Atlanta. Wouldn't have sat Jason either, but we are seeing LHP in 3 of the next fout games so it makes some sense to sit him here. And I like the continuing use of Terdo and the DL of Laird since he hasn't played all week anyway.

No, I'm not Patio Daddio, but
Remember when everyone was worried about Kimbrel for about four days? Ha!David O'Brien @ajcbraves 2h
#Braves Kimbrel's past 28 appearances: 0.32 ERA, .129 opp average, 12 hits, 1 run, 12 BB, 43 K in 28 IP. Converted 22-of-22 saves
I'm happy to see that the Braves have the 3rd best league in the majors (tied with St. Louis) and are only .5 game behind Major League leaders Pittsburgh and Boston. St. Louis had a 6.5 game lead on Atlanta prior to last Friday night.
May be just me, but wouldn't you put your best lineup out there to try to win the series today with Lee pitching tomorrow?
Heyward's probably pretty gassed. Playing CF for the last week, a more demanding position. Give him a day off. We don't need him pulling a Boobie Miles. And Chris Johnson hasn't done too well in the 2-hole this year, if I remember right. I might be wrong though...

Oh well. Still should be able to score plenty. Hopefully Beachy can improve.
Yes, BJ, don't (bleep) it up.DOB post: B.J. Upton to Fredi G, upon returning to streaking Braves lineup today: "I just hope I don't (bleep) it up."

OK with Jason out. Simba leading off just drives me mad
why not have johnson lead off?

Johnson has the best (starter) numbers against left-handed pitchers. Gattis and Justin are close.
We need to knock him out quick, so I would've gone with:
Justin
Johnson
Gattis
Freeman
Uggla
Joey
Simmons
P
BJ
