Maybin hasn't been the plus defender for us he has been his entire career, maybe all the time off due to injury set him back. His range numbers are down and his DRS is -5 in CF this year. That isn't like him, though before that hit this past inning he'd been looking better and more like his old self IMO. It's still a SSS of course so hopefully he gets back to playing great defense to go along with his bat so far.

KJ, even with 2 weeks on the DL and part-time play, has more RBI than Nick. So does Maybin. Ditto Simmons, and even Jace.
That's not an indictment of Nick, who is getting on base like a pro, but it does say something about that iso power of his.
