Well, we're really doing it for Maitan and the guys next year, and they are easily worth it.

Well, we traded for slot money in the 50s and it was $350,000 or so, so I would assume we still need to make another deal.

paroubeck is the "lottery ticket" prospect we got in the Kimbrel deal.

Yea, I liked what I had read about him. He and Dirks seems like a lot for slot money, esp. since this money even isn't enough to get us to the 1 million goal.

Why in the world would you wait until AFTER you signed players over your pool amount to start making these trades? Now every team knows the Braves need extra pool money and can make them give better prospects in exchange.

I think thats a fair point.

But you could make these trades before and then end up with nobody and traded players for nothing.
