    Here's a very sad story: http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp..._milb&sid=milb

Johnson was a pretty good prospect when he came out of Louisburg.

Agreed, but what a terrible first inning. The flies in that inning were anything but as soft as butter. He seemed to settle down after that.

You know, as far as offensive prospects stepping out from the pack we really haven't had a whole lot to talk about. Albies and Peraza aside, there hasn't been much.

We still need lots of help in this area....badly.

Are the braves specializing in sub 5'10 slap hitters with speed? I know he's 17 and can grow. Maybe that's the size of guy who's playing baseball these days.

I don't know that he's a full on slap hitter. Obviously there's not much power there right now, but we don't really know what his approach is. There have been plenty of guys 5'10" and under who are legit hitters. Just have to wait and see.

Under The Radar Tidbit Of The Day:

Cameron Maybin's former high school teammate Justin Jackson notched his first Save with the Braves organization for Carolina yesterday.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

11 hits and 7 RBIs for Ruiz in his last ten games. Hitting .333 over that span.
