Fangraphs FO Rankings (By The Community)

    http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/front...the-community/

I'm confused as to how LAD are so high. They've definitely had some good drafts, but buying a lot of players doesn't make you great.

STL is clearly #1 for me.
I don't agree with the Cubs being #2. There's a ton of talent there, some from really high draft positions (Bryant @ 2, Schwarber @ 4) and IFA spending (Soler, though they may have whiffed on Baez). But they have next to no young pitching, and it could haunt them a while.
I'd put TB and KC higher.

Interesting graph, we seem to be what looks like the front of the middle tier FO's per the people. After Washington who is the last name in the first tier.

The Dodgers are run by Friedman, who was fantastic before he could buy everyone. If anything, I think they might be a little underrated.

I understand that, but he hasn't done a ton there yet, so it's hard to say.
They do have Kershaw, Seager, and Pederson who cam thru their system though, so that's pretty good. I don't think he's responsible for any of them though (could be wrong).

Getting someone to take Kemp is akin to getting rid of Melvin/B. J. - pretty notable accomplishment in my book.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

sure, but they're paying a good portion of that, no?
the moves our FO made this offseason are almost unrivaled by anyone (at least in this past offseason, anyway).

I agree. If we keep unloading contracts like BJ without paying anything and trading Phil Gosselin for 1st round picks, we're going to be at the top of that list soon.

Of course, if we keep ending up with contracts like BJ and keep getting Phil Gosselin back, I'll question the FO at the same time.

Padres owed $75 million of the $107 million that was left on his original deal (going into 2015). Dodgers ate $32 million.

Right, but you have to factor in previous success. Sure, he had nothing to do with acquiring the primary pieces that have helped the Dodgers be successful, but he's made some solid moves, and his track record in Tampa Bay cannot be ignored.
