I’ve struggled with my weight off and on my entire life. A few years ago, I looked at myself on TV and saw someone I didn’t even know. I weighed 275 pounds. The very next day I started to get in shape, and by last summer I had lost 67 pounds in about two years.

We want you to drink water instead of sodas. I’ve learned to like unsweet tea, believe it or not. Sure, I’d prefer to drink sweet tea, but how many extra calories is that for us in one sitting when we get three or four glasses of sweet tea at dinner? So instead, I’m either drinking unsweet tea or water.
I run in downtown Macon every Wednesday with a group of friends. I hope you’ll walk or run several days a week. Let’s get off these computers and get active; and how about encouraging kids to put down their devices and move.
