I just like the GCL team. This isn't a swipe at the previous regime, but our GCL teams haven't been that great over the past decade. The 2014 team featured some guys who are likely to stick around (Albies, Davidson, Didder, Dykstra), but prior to that, it looks like a bunch of guys who are going to top out in High A (or in the rare case of Lipka and maybe Carlos Franco making it AA). There's been a smattering of talent that will likely reach the bigs (Peraza, Drury), but the attrition rate has been staggering. I don't know how other franchises stack up in this department, but we certainly haven't had much in terms of offense go through the GCL lately.

I was in favor of that signing and still am. I would have loved to have signed him long term also. Rubber arm.

PED suspension. Lots of things can go wrong when you sign a pitcher long term. Too many for my taste.

I still think Minter is going to be awesome when he's healthy.

Yeah, it wound up being a pretty good deal. Particularly since the guy we likely would have drafted with that pick was Michael Chavis, who has been a pretty big bust so far.
