    Pics from Cuba...

I recently had the chance to visit Cuba and went legally through the treasury dept on a person to person visa from Miami to Havana. The flight is 43 minutes :lol

    anyway, here are some pics:

Thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like a wonderful and interesting trip. Any chance to talk with the locals about the prospects of increased activity between he US and their country?

yeah, talked to a lot. they were really excited about the embassy opening and better relations with the United States. Was giving them a lot of hope of a better future if things kept getting better etc.

was an amazing time to be there

The shape of some of those mountains remind me of some near Rio. Great photos.

    Good pics
like basic goods? can get meat that is slaughtered and cut right in front of ya for pretty cheap but the price is controlled on meat from the gov't

bottled water for 1.5 liters from a shop is like 75 to 90 cents depending. get around where tourists are and it is like 2 to 3 dollars.

i would get up in the morning and go to the lady selling sandwiches and coffee out her window and it cost me 4 cents for 2 cuban coffees and 50 cents for a cuban sandwich (ham and cheese)

gas was around $4.20 a gallon which i was really surprised about it being that high

any specific thing you are looking for on price?

    thanks

also, here is the passport stamp if anyone is curious what it looks like:
