Dude just stop. The Eagles were beating the Niners no matter who was QB. Pretty clear the Chiefs were the best team in the NFL this year and Mahomes would have torched you guys just like he has every other team this year. The difference is, there is ZERO chance the Niners would have been able to keep up with the Chiefs scoring, unlike the Eagles who actually have a great offense that matched KC.

That's the way it goes though. Like how you could literally call holding by o-lineman on every play. I just think you have to swallow the whistle in that situation unless it's blatant.

I agree for sure. I don't see how to make that call.

As far as I know ther was no issue with him going to an NFC team. I think we would have been happy with a higher draft pick from an NFC team.

It's about ownership. It's also the reason he left the Saints. Ownership passed to his wife who is a raging cunt. The kind that goes through 20 personal assistants a year. Payton even had it put into his contract that it would void if she fired the GM, which I believe Goodell didn't allow and they had to redo the contract. Russ will be there a few years. Payton plans to be there 15-20 years.

I mean it was obviously a hold. The gripe is the timing. THere was more obvious holds earlier in the game who wasn't called. It would be like an umpire not calling a high strike all game then calling it bases loaded in a 3-1 count.

Whoever runs the NFL UK's twitter is on crack or think that Josh Fields is Jalen Hurts and cannot tell the difference between two black QBs who wear the number 1 jersey.

Falcons should go sign Bobby Wagner. He's a leader but also was the best linebacker in the NFL last year so he hasn't really lost it yet.

Alright while waiting for some **** to happen.

WHo are some of the best players to not win the superbowl?

Marino is obvious, he is the classic example.

Barry Sanders is another obvious one. Sanders drug his teams kicking and screaming into the playoffs.

Randy Moss - I mean he should have had one if not for the Hex the Giants had on the Pats.

Anthony Munoz - Easy one too.

Tony Gonzalez - He should have won a ring. He was on a lot of bad teams.

Fran Tarkenton - Another obvious one.

Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith etc. The Bills team of that era was amazing. They were stacked. BUT they went and lost 4 Super Bowls to NFC East teams.

Warren Moon - Legend. IMO the second best QB to have never won the SUperbowl.

Dick Butkus - I don't generally hold up MLB or OL or DL to not winning. Because QB, etc. generally have more input. But Butkus was But in that era a stud defender could change things.

    Junior Seau - Legend.

Randall McDaniel - Tragic in a way because the Bucs won the year after he left.

Julius Peppers - Best sack artist of the modern era.

Kevin Greene - His career was overshadowed by White and Smith

Boy the NFC south is going to be a dumpster fire. As Falcons, Saints, and Bucs are all in rebuilding mode. And I think the Falcons and Saints are on the upswing, but aren't there yet. Panthers should be good by now but their FO is a joke. Carolina's last season about 20 in DVOA was 2018. They're had 3 top 10 picks in a row and no signs of turning things around. Their cap situation is terrible from paying a lot of money to guys like DJ Moore, Taylor Moton and Shaq Thompson. None of them are bad players, but none of them IMO are 25M players. I think they could have done better trading Moore for picks, Trading Thompson for picks, etc. and actually rebuilding.

Panthers are likely to finally get their high pick QB this year, with Levis being the one I see most commonly projected there. But they could be in a rough spot and have to trade up.

Atlanta meanwhile has a ton of cap room. Which could lead to them being the team to make the quick turnaround. If they sign Jimmy G or Lamar to get an NFL ready QB now, and draft a lineman and keep Lindstrom, they'll be in a pretty good spot. Strong OL and DL picks coupled with some later in the draft WR and other depth picks could turn the falcons into a 10 win team.

But yeah the rest of the NFC South is in big trouble, PAnthers are just over the cap (5M) and the Bucs and Saints are the 2 teams most over the cap (Bucs at like 60 Mil over cap and Saints at like 30 mil over cap)

What's worse is the saints aren't even in a great position to cut players. The constant restructuring they've been doing has come due and now they're paying a lot of guys a lot of money. My hunch is there will be a lot of post June 1st trades and cuts in New Orleans. Cam Jordan, Lattimore, etc. cause then they can spread the cap hit out. Like the Falcons did with Ryan.

Falcons wouldnt sign Lamar, it would be a tag/trade. But the NFC South is a joke of a division for sure.

If that's the case then it's a hard pass for me. Not trading a top 10 pick for Lamar and if Atlanta does that I look forward for the whole FO to be fired in 2 years. I like Lamar and he gets you to win now. But he'll be busted in a few years. We already saw most likely his best season of his career in 2019. But he still is a really good QB. I just think he'll be hurt a bunch in like 2-3 years.

Would cost alot more than that to get Lamar, probably what Russ/Deshaun went for if not a little more maybe.

Nah, I'm not paying that price and I'll flip out if Atlanta does that.

Nolan Smith was underrated at Georgia. The spotlight was always on guys like Carter, Walker, or Davis. But when he went down the defense took a hit. They missed him pretty bad.
