For anyone to say that an unbiased observer would have said that was a flag is just ridiculous. Even the ESPN crew after the game all said that wasn't a flag.

After watching it on replay several times from several angles I'm sure. Something the refs don't have time for.

The problem is the initial reaction is to just throw a flag anytime a hit looks big now. That is how these officials are being trained.
Monday nights game was a clear example of that. You can't teach how to hit the proper way better than what Whitner showed on Jackson and still got called for a flag. The refs aren't even looking for technique. They are looking for hard hits which is absolutely ridiculous.

Seriously you must not have been watching the NFL for the last 5 years or so. They protect the qb.

Thats fine. Protect the QB but protect them by restricting the defensive players to a set of rules. The rules in place dictate whether a hit is legal or not. The hit was within the rules therefore it was a bad call.
You can't just say you can hit a QB from here to here and then say well it looked like he was hit hard so even though you hit them within that acceptable range you are still getting a flag.

My opinion is probably biased but Brooks clotheslined Brees. Its a miracle Brees wasn't injured.
After Goodellgate the nfl owes the saints a lot of calls. No team has ever been screwed like the saints were.
NFL is completely watered down. We may as well put flags on the players for now on.
Some NFL Notes per rotoworld.
- Looks like Det will keep Schwartz.
- Same with Jets/Rex.
- Percy may go to IR for Seattle.
Seahawks are having issues on offense. Wilson needs better weapons around him. They don't feel invincible like they did five weeks ago. I like the 49ers chances to go back to the super bowl. Their hardest matchup might end up being GB in the wild card round.

Guess the best division was the NFC West like I've said all along.
Cardinals could be 11-5 if they win today and miss out on the playoffs. Stick the Rams in the NFC North or East and they win that division.
