Updating a previous item, CBS' Jason La Canfora says Colin Kaepernick won't settle for anything less than $20M per season annually in a new contract.
Ivermectin Man
Honestly the media is out for the 49ers right now. Harbaugh story and now Kaepernick wanting x amount of dollars a year. Harbaugh did bring in Jimmy Garoppolo for a workout the other day. If the 49ers do use a second round pick on a quarterback you can kiss Colin goodbye.
JMO his annual will depend if he extends this season or next.
I touched on it earilier in this thread, Kaepernick is super cheap now (1.6M) if he signs now and ups his cap number this year he signs for cheaper. As I said before Kaepernick will get paid, signing him earlier makes you worse in 2014 but better long term. Same thing the Falcons did with Ryan.

Kaepernick isn't worth an extension right now. He has proved his talent over a short period of time. And he is the reason the 49ers don't have a 6th ring. Well at least this past season.
Let him play out this season and if the 49ers don't win it all, let him walk.

He's in the bottom of the top 10.
For me top 10 in kinda order
Peyton
Rodgers
Brady
Brees
Ryan
Rivers
Romo
After that is Wilson, Kaepernick, Rapelisberger, Luck, Stafford and assuming the train doesn't completely come off the tracks Foles. Any of them can jump higher as well.

Brady, Roethlisberger, Luck, Peyton, Rivers, Romo, Rodgers, Brees, Ryan, and Cam are all better.
Smith, Kaepernick, Stafford, Cutler, and Wilson are next tier.
Luck is tough for me. Statistically he's not close to any of those guys. But in terms of real ability he's the most talented QB in the NFL (smart, strong arm, accurate arm, mobile) that you have to wonder if a big reason for his struggles compared to everyone else on the list is mainly because of weapons. Also he just wins. In his 2 years in the NFL he has 11 game winning drives and 8 4th quarter comebacks. For a reference point in the 6 seasons Joe Flacco has played in the NFL (never posting a losing record mind you) he had 19 game winning drives and 12 4th quarter comebacks. He's clutch. You have to love someone who does it. I know that's a reason why I love Ryan.

Rapelisberger has been slipping, probably because he's a QB who takes a lot of big hits (holds the ball forever) Still very good mind you but saying he's for sure better I think is wrong.
$cam is a much better fantasy QB, but not a better QB. Luck has worse QB stats. But there is something about him.
