I have no idea what the Falcons are trying to do here. Just freaking fire TD and move on.
Why wouldnt Falcons just put Pioli in charge? Fire TD
Cowboys have to run the ball and possess it for a long time in this one to win. Hopefully get the running game going. If Murray puts up 130, we have a decent shot. We should put up points on their defense. But Rodgers will pick us apart, even if he's a little banged up.
GOOD GAWD:
Defensive Player of the Year
JJ Watt, DE, Houston Texans
Not much of a drum roll for this one. For the third straight year, Watt earns PFF Defensive Player of the Year. We’ve touted his jaw-dropping grades and statistics for a while now, but he continues to break the scale, despite opposing offenses doing their best to account for him on every snap.
Watt’s +107.5 overall grade is the first to crack triple digits in the PFF era and while it’s not always fair to compare across positions, it may be best to compare him to the next best grade at his position… Jets DE Sheldon Richardson and his +39.9.
As much as I touted Miller and Houston for their consistency and ability to take over a game, Watt takes that to an entirely new level with record-setting games of +15.0 in Week 4 and +16.2 in Week 16. His +91.9 pass rush grade looks like a misprint and his pass rushing totals look like that of an entire team as he notched 21 sacks, 44 QB hits, and 54 hurries while adding 10 batted passes, a skill for which he’s become famous.

I said it 3 years ago when people were slobbering on JPP calling him the next big thing, I said Watt was the best DL I had ever seen. Granted my memories of Reggie White are a bit foggy, but from what I remember Watt was better. Only thing stopping Watt from being GOAT is health.

Watt is what should keep the cost for Suh somewhat reasonable. It would be tough to justify getting paid more than Watt.
Watt got around 16.6 a year, i dont know what Suh is asking for though.
That's not fair, some of his drafts stunk, some were OK one or 2 was great.
Falcons depth sucked before he got there, he wasn't able to address the situation because he was plugging bigger holes. Now that they've taken care of most of the holes they'll start having more depth picks.
Lets look at his drafts again.
This year produced 5 regular players, Matthews, Hageman, Southward, Freeman and Shembo, last year has produced 6 regular players, Trufant, ALford, Goodman, Toilolo, Maponga, Ishmael. Year before that was a suck draft as Konz, Holmes, and Massaquoi were the only regulars. 2011 had Julio, Dent, Quizz, and Bosher. 2010 had Spoon, Peters, Hawley, and Franks. 2009 had Moore, Owens, Jerry, Walker. 2008 had Ryan, Baker, Lofton, Douglas, Decoud, and Biermann. There was 1 turd, one ehhhh (2010) 2009 was pretty decent even though at the time it didn't look amazing. 2008 was amazing. Early returns on 2014 have been really good. 2013 was the depth draft and it's pretty good.
Falcons have basically 2 issues, not getting max talent from high round OL and DL. Matthews and Hageman should buck that trend, but you don't know. But Konz, Jerry, etc. just never lived up to their billing. MEanwhile we're able to find useful DL depth quite fine. Massaqoi, Hawley, and Maponga are good weapons but not amazing.
Only pick the Falcons have made and I gave a true WTF under Dimitroff was Holmes. He came from nowhere for me, like a legit non-draft prospect cause of his arms. I don't remember who I wanted them to draft, odds are he wouldn't have been much better as finding a regular starter after the late 3rd isn't easy in the NFL.

Well the fact that no QB is making over 20M yet should keep Suh's cost down, plus all his on the field issues he's had he basically has a 0 tolerance from the NFL. He'll be fined and maybe suspended for anything he does that's questionable.
With Suh he will be right around Watt and McCoy's 50M guaranteed. That's a lot of guaranteed dough. Average salary doesn't matter, though you can argue with Watt and McCoy was they didn't hit FA. They were under contract for another year or 2 before signing and that gives the team signing them leverage instead of letting them hit the open market to several teams waiting to sign them.

Suh needs to get paid big time. So he can see his favorite musical "Stomp" at least once a week.
He misses on the lines too much. The slam dunks or high percentage picks for the lines has been awful. We can't even get league average play from his first and second round line picks. Not even close!
Pioli put some talent together in KC. I can't complain about him getting the reins.
