Did Belichick do anything really beyond what most coaches would do? I mean obviously the whole having Patriots videographers pretend to be press is bad, but I don't think he's the first or last to do that. What to me it boils down to as "bad" was Godell's coverup but is that shocking? NFL has always tried to keep things as in house as possible.

YOu think coaches break into the other teams locker room and steal the playsheets?

No one said anything about "breaking into" other teams' locker room. And, again, this is all hearsay and suspicion.

Its not right to punish the other players unless the decision to do this went beyond those 2 players.
I just feel that New Orleans is gonna leave it all on the field each week. I think Brees has a great season even without Graham. Their defense isn't anything special, but having that offense wil keep them in every game. I don't really have a reason why I think this, just a hunch.

The buzz for Matt Jones grows. Maybe UF's star studded OL wasn't very good in college?

    32. Washington (0-0): Glass half full outlook? Securing the first overall pick will eliminate all temptation to trade up for the next potential franchise quarterback.

huh? THis was part of the investigation. Maybe it's hearsay, but it's not what I consider common coaching practice.

No, the Patriots supposedly had people go into their locker room after they left and pick up their scraps. Semantics, maybe. But, if you are dumb enough to leave crap lying around or written on a white board, what do you think is going to happen?

Im referring to the Pats sending employees into the locker rooms while the team was on the field warming up.

"a low-level Patriots employee would sneak into the visiting locker room and steal the play sheet, listing the first 20 or so scripted calls for the opposing team's offense. (The practice became so notorious that some coaches put out fake play sheets for the Patriots to swipe.)"

Other former employees have said they would send employees to the visiting team hotel to try to find playbooks and scouting reports. An employee said they would erase practice footage of a player on IR practicing. Obviously the jamming of the opposing coaches headsets at Gilette Stadium.

These are things I don't think are common practice among teams in the NFL.

Again, they didn't exactly "break in." And digging through public garbage is unorthodox, but how exactly is it cheating? And every home team jams the opponent's headsets.

Still, this all screams of paranoia and teams like the Panthers and Rams being sore losers.

I forget who it was, but some coach was accused of jamming his own signal so the defense couldn't use their HS when they had a great system to get calls in and the opponent didn't.

NFL teams cheat like crazy. It's part of the game. It's like speeding on the highway, it's against the rules, but you all do it until someone gets caught then you ease off the gas a little for a bit.
