Cheating isn't part of the game and shouldn't be tolerated because "everyone does it." Rules are made for a purpose and so should be followed. It's sad that at the highest level of this game people still resort to cheating.

I would consider going in hotel rooms of the other team, no matter the manner of doing so, as breaking in. I would also consider it unethical to sneak in the opposing teams locker room. And I'm so sick of people taking any kind of potential scandal and adding "-gate" at the end of it. Deflategate works because it rhymes, and therefore is somewhat clever. But the Watergate was the name of a hotel, so adding "-gate" at the end of any word doesn't automatically make it a controversy, and is just stupid. And, most importantly, it's completely overdone at this point.

The Patriots headset reportedly worked fine. Whenever the NFL would get the point that they were going to shut down the Pats radio, it would magically work.

No it wasn't. The Patriots almost had to change helmets for Tom Brady. Belichick even said that this happens every week.
You can't be dumb enough to think that the Pats would do something this blatant in the first game of the season, coming off the heels of all of this other stuff.
