Meh. There was no one else around the ball. That rule is there to keep teams from preventing the other team from recovering it. The Lions wouldn't have gotten the ball back anyway, and the ball was likely heading OB regardless.
Just saying... it's a clear foul. Even Blandino is saying they messed up.
