Trufant is getting lit up this year. Not his best efforts of late

Maybe one day Atlanta's defense will learn its lesson that you can't go soft on teams early in the fourth quarter. No way in hell it should have been that close.
Ugly wins still count. 1 more win to get in the playoffs.

At some point they have to kick it up a notch. That performance won't get it done the final two weeks. They play like that and they'll be 9-7 and perhaps sitting home. Maybe they do get hot, I don't know. Not seeing anything that leads me to believe that'll happen.
Freeman had a great night, though.
Ryan has the ability to put the team on his back and power through.

Ryan is making a lot of head-scratching throws.
49ers making the playoffs next year?

All about the qb still so it will end up being who ends up with the better player. Goff gas been real good and Jimmy G needs to demonstrate a larger sample. I REALLY like what I'm seeing. Guts like Bill Simmons even says he looks like Brady with the way he vocalizes and commands the offense.
The cap situation is fanatstic. Obviously a big portion of that is going to garappolo. They can trade their first rounder for a nice haul thisbyear. The talent on the defensive line is there. Lots of other hood looking young guys. Need to build the offensive line back up before anything and also try to get a young rb to develop.
Lots of work to do but when you potentially have the QB it gets exciting.

Agreed. I'm just thinking 2 years down the road. Hyde is an underrated runner and as you said Breida gas ability. I'm optimistic for the future. Shanahan has done a he'll of a job. Even before the qb change the 49ers were in a bunch of games late.
Ryan is feeling the loss if him this year. It's just temporary.

This is my million dollar fantasy question. Bortles or Brady. I didn't think I'd ever say that, but Brady has been mediocre to bad the last 3 weeks and Buffalo shut him out once before. But they're playing at home. And he's Tom Brady so he can uncork 300 and 3 TDs any given sunday. Bortles has been rock solid the last 4 weeks. Buffalo has the 12th most efficient pass defense, SF the 31st. Do I risk my championship game on benching Brady? ****.

I feel your pain, Drew Brees is my #1 QB and I just checked and points wise he's #7 in my league, behind, among others, Alex freakin' Smith. Russell Wilson is the #1 QB in that league points wise. To make matters worse I'm in the 3rd place game and I'm already down 94 points to my opponent who ran Joe freakin' Flacco out there. This season and this league are impossible to figure out.
Falcons offense is such garbage.
