Well I guess things in the NFC South are going to be interesting. The Bucs were the darlings of the season. Expectations were sky high and they are pretty bad. Jameis was poised to have a big season and take the next step as a quarterback. Mark Ingram and company may have a better than terrible defense.
Phins are quietly having a good year. Defense is very underrated. Their offense is.... well inconsistent to say the least, but they have enough players makers that you can't sleep on them either. Falcons should have still won, but the Phins are not garbage.Originally Posted by bravesnumberone
After watching the refs change the entire course of a game in favor of the Pats by ruling a fumble where a player never lost full control of the ball, it's so clear that there's a huge issue in the NFL. Not only does no one know what a catch is, no one knows what a fumble is. It's getting really insane.

First I will say if my team was on the other side of the call I would be mad. But this pic shows he fumbled before crossing and then touched pylon which is considered out of bounds if player doesnt have the ball. I dont think they should have overturned the call, but I dont think its the worst call ever that some are making it to be.
That picture is probably a solid second before the pylon. by the time he's hitting the pylon the his hands are back against his chest.
There's no way there was enough evidence to overturn the call aside from he fumbled it at some point.

As was the Megatron "catch", as was the Dez "catch". It's clear to me that the NFL wants to make rules so that the zebras can decide things way above their competency or fairness pay grades. The question is why? Are they trying to manipulate who wins so as to make sure they get the match ups they want come playoff/Super Bowl time, ala the NBA or WWE, or are they just trying to "fine tune" the scores and/or point spreads of certain games? Is this for ratings, or Vegas odds, or some other nefarious agenda? I find it difficult to believe it's just incompetence at this point, but what is it? There has to be some endgame, doesn't there?
First time watching Mitchell Trubisky today. I think he will be a good qb. Not elite but above average. This game has had some of the worst calls I have seen in a while. Bears 25 yard 3rd overturned was bull****. Later the saints got a facemask call that was bull****. Flag came before the tackler even made contact and his hands were never anywhere close to the facemask.

Trubisky has nobody, and I mean nobody, to throw to. Bears were already lacking in the wideout department and lost their top two WRs by Week 1. The TE Miller goes out today - still can’t believe they overturned that TD catch - that’s only going to make things tougher for Trubisky. Bye week next week and the addition of Inman should help but really tough to grade Mitch this year with the lack of talent to throw to.
Yeah I agree. He is in a good situation with a good run game and defense. Just needs some playmakers. I find myself so envious of mobile quarterbacks that can run for first downs. It adds a whole new dimension to the offense that is so hard to stop. I dont want Brees risking injury running the ball but the offense feels so archaic compared to other teams with qbs that can run. I think Paytons offense would be unstoppable with a DeShaun Watson or Russell Wilson. Anyways, I was under the impression Trubisky sucked. I dont scout QB prospects because Saints have Brees. He really impressed me. Dont blame him for the INT. He had to air it out at that point. I think he will be a good game manager. Wont turn the ball over a lot. He needs a deep threat in a bad way.

Because they're racist. Any team who doesn't feel obligated to give Kaepernick a job are racist.
I dont really fault teams for not signing Kaepernick. He isnt the problem, the problem is the media firestorm that would accompany him. He isnt good enough to be worth that. Kaepernick will be fine without the NFL and probably better off without CTE. If Kaepernick does not bow to evil and keeps up the good fight I guarantee you he will be in the hall of fame within the next 50 years even if he doesnt play another down in the league. Somethings are just far more important than football. How many of us have the moral conviction to give up millions of dollars to try and save innocent peoples lives from criminals.

Saints run game so strong Alvin Kamara just did a barrel roll mid run and still got 10+ yards.
Edit - and now Brees scrambles for a touchdown run to cap a 10 play 94 yard all run touchdown drive. Am I in the twilight zone? 5 rushing touchdowns and it's the third quarter.
Edit 2 - saints bring in 5th string rb. He runs for a 40+ yard TD and the saints are at 301 yards rushing/6 rushing touchdowns with 3 minutes left.
