Oh look the NFL is just outright saying screw the rules this year and letting the packers sign players from the Colts roster to replace their injured LT. I look forward to the Saints signing Derek Henry soon.

Najee Harris has the makings of a good one in the NFL. Very impressed with his runs vs a stacked box

With GB winning this Sunday's game against the Bucs will be Brees's last game in the Super Dome. Sad it wont be a full crowd like he deserves.

Brees having a terrible last game of his career. So far.

And getting worse. FWIW, he looked tight and uncomfortable all night, even on the sidelines.

I only root for the Saints a few times a year, and they can't even deliver me a Brady loss.

Oh well, time to be a Packer fan.

They won last week at home. I am excited to see what the Saints offense looks like with a QB who can consistently pass the ball downfield next year. This time next year the story will be "wtf was every team thinking letting Sean Payton get Jameis Winston".

I thought Taysom Hill was some combination of Mike Vick and Tim Tebow?

Winston has talent, but he had all the talent in the world to throw to in Tampa and couldn't make it work. And it isn't like Bruce Arians isn't also considered an offensive/qb guru. I really don't see it working out for him in NO, though I suppose it's likely the best fit for him considering everything else. Not to mention from a character/leadership standpoint, he is basically the exact opposite of Drew Brees.

I'm sorry did Taysom not exceed all non saints fans expectations? 3-1 as a starter. He only averaged 10 runs a game. The reason I dont consider him as a starting CB is that his hands are too small. He cant hold onto the ball with 1 hand without fumbling with enough consistency. I also doubt he could hold up physically over a full season which I have always said.

Whatever Payton does I will trust it. He knows QBs. Brees was enough of a turnover machine to have the Chargers draft his replacement. Payton will adapt his system to bring out Jameis's strengths but Arians wouldnt even adjust his system for Brady.

I mean Tim Tebow was 8-6 with a playoff win.

Arians can't adjust system for Brady? He is on record saying Brady has largely been calling the plays.

Brees was lights out at the end of his chargers career. He struggled and they drafted Rivers, and I think Payton took him to the next level. But it wasn't like he was a bum. He threw for 3000+ yards and 25+ TDs his last 2 seasons in SD. If they didn't spend a 4th overall pick on Rivers, then they wouldn't have let Brees go. I think they made the right choice as I think Rivers is a better pure QB than Brees. Brees got the right team and the right combination to achieve his top level success.

Definitely looks like theres going to be a lot of QB musical chairs this offseason. Stafford looks likely to 49ers. So Jimmy G obviously would have to leave. Watson in Houston could be demanding a trade. Rodgers said he doesnt know what the future holds for him this offseason. I am hearing a lot of talk that the Rams want to move on from Jared Goff sometime soon. Then theres free agents like Cam Newton and Jameis Winston. Dak Prescott technically a FA. Sam Darnold could be traded and theres likely to be 3-4 first round QB's in the draft.

Falcons also could move Ryan if they want to give him a shot at winning. They can't do it until after June bacuse of cap. But I could see it happening. Especially if a team loses a QB, though my dream is a trade with the Pats, they have Gilmore who they don't love. Ryan for Gilmore would give us someone to not totally ruin our cap (just moderately ruin it) and the Pats get a QB who can get them to win now and not take on that much Cap. Falcons are then set to start thte rebuild.

Brees also had shoulder surgery after his final year SD, so I'm quite certain that's the primary reason SD let him walk in FA. It's also why the Dolphins went with Culpepper over Brees in FA.

    Don't forget about Carson Wentz.

You know New England, Indy, and Washington will all be involved in this QB frenzy. I predict Stafford goes to Indy. I think Rodgers stats put in GB because they aren't stupid enough trade one of the 2-3 best QBs in league. I think Cam is either forced to take a back-up QB spot or risk sitting out the season. He hasn't been good/healthy since 2018. But if I had to pick a spot, I'd say there is a good chance he ends up on the Dolphins if they don't land Watson.

That's true, I forgot about that.

Dante Culpepper is a name I kind of forgot about. If you want to talk about a receiver who made a QB that was one. Moss left the Vikings and Culpepper went from a probowler who was hyped as a great QB, to trash.

Opposite of McNabb, who had ass for receivers most of his career and the one year he was healthy and had a top receiver he looked like a superstar.
