So, usually great defenses beat great offenses in the Superbowl. We've seen it when Buccaneers destroyed Oakland, Seahawks did with Broncos.

#1 defense vs. #2 offense (probably would've been #1 had Mahomes not been injured a few games). And San Francisco's offense ain't too shabby.

I'm still going with Chiefs but it won't be a blowout.

Looking at the upcoming draft it looks stacked.

Record amount of declarations for underclassmen.

65 yards in 16 carries is about 4YPC for a guy who averaged over 5 on the year. The last time they played KC he had 4 more rushes and 120 more yards. KC made it their game plan to not get beat by Henry and succeeded. Top shelf RBs can't be fully shut down. But you can limit the damage and the chiefs certainly did that.

If I was the Dolphins I would trade for Jameis Winston rather than trade up for Tua. I still think he can be a franchise QB and this draft is too good they could really build a foundation for the future with all those picks.

I'd rather sign Bridgewater or Mariota than trade for Winston.

The Saints apparently have let it be known they want Brees back for 1 more year as kind of a transition year to Taysom Hill. All the years of people saying the Saints needs to spend high draft picks on a QB and they got their heir apparent off waivers.

What exactly is so special about Hill? I think I would rather have gone with Teddy.

He is Tim Tebow if Tebow had 4.4 speed and was good at throwing the ball.

I’m with Carp on this one.

I like Hill but there is nothing about him that would excite me as a full time QB. He’s perfect in his current role.

What can Lamar Jackson do that Taysom Hill cant? Bridgewater is better at the very short game like screens, check downs, etc. Hill is very good at medium and deep passes. He doesnt have elite arm strength but he throws a good deep ball. The Saints really lacked the deep threat to take advantage of that this year. I think they will get that player in this coming draft. Hoping for Henry Ruggs, he reminds me of Reggie Bush but if he came up as a WR instead of RB.

Hill will test the theory that Payton can turn anyone into a top level QB.

Hill isn't a great QB. You don't go undrafted if you can fly like he can and have passing skills. He averaged 6.6 Y/A in college, and was often injured. I think you're looking at a QB who'll be hurt a lot and not go down the field.

Hill could be great. He's certainly a great athlete. I just don't know why you'd put all your eggs in the basket of a complete unknown. He could run as fast as Vick and throw the football a mile, but probably 90 % of being a good QB in the NFL is between the ears.

Bridgewater ran the offense extremely well. The Saints went undefeated in those games, and it isn't like they played cupcake teams either. Seems like you already have a suitable replacement for Brees, though it would be hard to bring him back if Brees comes back for another year.

Bridgewater is average. I wouldn't say Taysom is an unknown. It might only be a handful of plays a game he plays at QB but that's still a lot more than any QB they would draft has in the NFL. For Payton he has had this guy learning in practice for 2 years. Payton's system is notoriously hard to learn and both he and Brees have praised how well Taysom has picked it up while also learning and practicing other positions.

2020 is supposed to be a transition year where he should get more playing time at QB so they arent quitting Brees cold Turkey.

Also Payton seems really good at scouting and developing quarterbacks. He was Romo's QB coach in Dallas before he got his shot. Payton tried to trade for Romo before signing Brees. Payton was high in Deshaun Watson. He thought Patrick Mahomes was a franchise QB and was going to take him if KC didnt trade ahead of him.

I think a good comp for Taysom Hill would be Kaepernick.
