Either way this puts him on normal rest for game one of the NLDS on Thursday. Kershaw will have an extra day of rest as will Medlen it seems if he is the game one starter.
He'll still be on short rest for Thursday's game. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday is 4 days rest. Not normal 5 days. So he gained one extra day. Still pitching on short rest.
